Wholesale changes are expected to be made on Sunday when a Rangers side will take on Queen’s Park in a game scheduled to take place at Auchenhowie.

The bounce game was confirmed by Giovanni van Bronckhorst following the midweek win over West Ham.

When we take into consideration the players who featured in the 1-2 challenge game loss to Spurs at Ibrox on Saturday, it is clear that game time will be given to those who never made it onto the pitch as well as others who are still lacking sharpness ahead of the big kick off next week, the start of the competitive season in the Premiership opener away to Livingston next Saturday.

It was interesting that the manager chose for most players to stay on for the duration with just three substitutes introduced against Spurs, those being James Sands, Malik Tillman and Scott Wright.

That will allow plenty of others to get game time in the last fixture of pre-season against Owen Coyle’s Championship ‘Spiders’.

Robby McCrorie may get the call between the posts, given that Jon McLaughlin has already featured over the last few weeks.

The likes of Ryan Jack, Steven Davis, Scott Arfield and Fashion Junior would appear certain to play, but will likely be resigned to a spot on the bench next week in West Lothian.

Niko Katic may get a final appearance in a Rangers shirt ahead of a probable exit soon. Youngsters Charlie McCann, Leon King and Adam Devine should also play.

It will be interesting to see if the subs from Saturday get a start, as well as a possible first look at Ben Davies but that will very much depend on his fitness and readiness to get back into action, even if only for this practice game.

The rest is up to the manager and now we wait to find out just how the squad will be utilised
