Report reveals 29 Cap Belgian being “monitored” by Rangers

|

Rangers have been proactive in the transfer market so far this summer making the most of those players that are out of contract by signing in-demand pair Fashion Sakala and John Lundstram.

The duo, if a fee was needed, would cost way over £10million which, hopefully, means that Steven Gerrard will have money to spend elsewhere before we even consider how much he will get from the sales of any that depart Ibrox.

The most publicised speculation surrounds Joey Veerman, another player wanted in some of the continent’s top leagues, a midfielder unlike any we have just now – a hybrid of Steven Davis and Scott Arfield if early analysis from the likes of Heart and Hand and Patrick Caskie is to be believed.

With Veerman, the early stories about an £8.5m price-tag would have seen many think that a deal wasn’t possible and yet we are very much in the hunt, the latest rumour though could be a stretch too far.

Liverpool has provided a mix of success in terms of both loan and permanent signings and the latest name to be linked is Belgian international Divock Origi, who, according to 90min.com is very much on a list of names being considered by Rangers with his situation being “monitored” by the Light Blues.

Given how well stocked we are up front, you would think that there would have to be a departure or two for us to make such a move especially as there are Premier League clubs also keeping tabs on the 26-year old who has just one year left on his Anfield contract.

The probability is low but never underestimate the Steven Gerrard factor.
