Rangers leapfrogged Hearts into second position in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday, beating Livingston 3-0 at Ibrox to keep pace with league leaders Celtic.

Steven Gerrard’s side have now won their last three league matches and haven’t been beaten in the competition since September, putting serious pressure on our city rivals at the top of the table.

Goals from Daniel Candeias, Alfredo Morelos and Scott Arfield provided the victory, which was a contest a little bit closer than the scoreline suggests.

The Gers were made to work hard for their win, but the quality eventually shone through.

Arfield’s goal was his sixth of the season so far and his third in two matches, after his double against Motherwell in the 7-1 rout prior the international break.

He is starting to be be more ambitious with his midfield play, supporting attacking teammates with forward runs into the box that cause trouble for the opposition.

Fans were delighted with his latest contribution and took to Twitter to share their thoughts…
