Ryan Kent has always been something of an enigma in that he has never seemed truly comfortable in front of goal, however, he has always been known for his ability to create.

This season, the consensus is that he has been far from his best, that he hasnโ€™t looked interested and that he is working a move away from the club, and yet, other than scoring goals, he has been every bit the player he has always been.

Only recently we saw that he tops the league for chances created but now, StatsBomb has revealed that he is also on the podium for dribbling too. Sitting second behind Aberdeenโ€™s Luis Lopes, or Duk, as he prefers to be known.

A Rangers forward will always be judged on one key metric though and that is scoring goals and Kent has been miles off it this season, there are occasions when he has been unlucky and had efforts cleared off the line or hit the post, but these are outnumbered by times when his technique has let him down or he has hesitated and tried to beat another defender.

An article in The Rangers Review explains exactly why he has struggled so much over the last couple of seasons and that his positioning when shooting is key if he is to up his numbers.

He needs to get back to basics, concentrate on technique and come back the player we all know he is capable of being, whether his future is at Rangers or not, an on form Ryan Kent remains one of the first names on the team sheet.
