Leon King has long been seen as α jewel in the Rangers academy, that the 18-year old is now α fixture of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s first-team squad proves that observers were right to have such high hopes for him.
The Scotland youth cap is no longer considered to be making the numbers up, instead, he has been trusted in every Champions League game and on occasions where you would expect experience would be preferred by the Gers gaffer.
Α contract extension last season saw King commit until 2024 but transfer supremo Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the centre-half remains under the watchful eye of Premier League scouts.

Thankfully though, if any of the big spending outfits from down south αre seriously interested we have the precedents of both Nathan Paterson and Calvin Bassey in terms of how much money they would have to part with to prise one of our finest assets away from the club.
The dream would be to see King spend the whole of his career at the club he supports, however, we have to be realistic, elite level clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have tried – and failed – to persuade him to move in the past, but they can offer sums of money that even our best players can only dream about.
King has shown that if you impress in the first-team, you will keep your place and continue to get chances, unfortunately for us, all this does is alert those with deep pockets.
