Glen Kamara has finally – officially – signed his contract extension which will keep him at Rangers for another four seasons, in principle at least.
We all known that isn’t going to happen but it, at least, protects his value and rewards the player for his fine form since signing from Dundee to be one of the biggest bargains in the club’s transfer history.
You would have struggled to find a Rangers fan in the summer who didn’t think that the Finland international had played his last game for the club, especially after starring in the European Championships, his price tag only going in one direction.
There have been reports of Premier League clubs sniffing about Kamara but now that he has been tied down to such a long-term contract, they will have to dig deep if they are to be successful in persuading Ross Wilson and Steven Gerrard to part ways with one of their biggest assets.
Gers fans are obviously delighted with the news, that has felt like a long time coming, and took to social media to celebrate the announcement.
