Wee, sleekit, cowrin, tim’rous beastie – no, not Willie Collum, “Tae a Moose” by Robert Burns but why are you reading the famous Scots poem on Vital Rangers?

The Rangers team might have been busy producing other content recently with Todd Cantwell signing, however, to celebrate Burns Day, they have lined up first-team players from the mens and womens’ teams to recite “Tae a Moose” – to hilarious effect.

The trailer dropped this morning with Connor Goldson, James Tavernier, Ryan Kent, Glen Kamara, Ben Davies and Scott Arfield chosen to give it a bash but, it is the appearances of Allan McGregor and Alfredo Morelos that get the most laughs ahead of a much anticipated full length video still to come.

What the video does do is give us a quick insight into how much Morelos’s English has improved when he pleads:

“That’s too difficult for me, 100%.”

It might not be the announcement of a signing but, it is refreshing to see the more human side of the players in a relaxed environment. The work of Robert Burns may be part of the curriculum in Scotland, however, judging by the early attempts that we have seen, it’s safe to say that it isn’t in England and I don’t think it will be making its way down to Colombia any time soon either.

See the full video below, hopefully, none of them will be waiting by the phone to be booked for poetry readings although Scott Arfield is a certainty for CBeebies bed time stories one day.
