Is this Gers new orange kit? We don’t have long to wait and see

|

As revealed by Vital Rangers earlier tonight, it would appear that we are being prepared for the latest instalment of our orange kit releases that seem to cause faux outrage whenever they are produced, this time it is Castore’s turn following on from Diadora and Hummel, Adidas first introducing the colour with a navy striped shirt in 1993/94.

At 9am you will get to see the first official images of the kit, however, as usual, social media was full of what many thought was the third kit for next season.

A leaked video a few weeks ago of John Lundstram in an all-black kit had a clothing rail in the background on which an orange shirt could just about be seen, whether it was the same as this one is too hard to tell.

Castore seem to be very hit and miss when it comes to their kits, personally, I love the simplicity of this season’s home strip and think the white 150th anniversary top is one of the best we’ve ever had, although, on the other hand, the black away and lilac third strips are a bit underwhelming, even if the intentions were good.

Last season, given how little time they had to design and produce the strips, they were given a free pass but still managed a couple of decent efforts, next year though there is no excuse and they are already up against it seeing as some fans appear to have been sent the kits by mistake and we have seen the previously mentioned video.

Will this be a red herring or the latest in a long line of Castore leaks? We’ll soon find out…
