Rangers have returned to the top of the Scottish Premiership after a 1-0 win over Hamilton Academical at Ibrox this afternoon.
With Celtic losing earlier in the day away to Hibernian, today’s match was a massive chance for Steven Gerrard’s side to put serious pressure on the Hoops with three points.
Daniel Candeias’ goal within three minutes of kick-off was enough to secure the result, despite an at times unconvincing performance against the visiting Accies.
One player who did get pass marks from supporters was summer signing Borna Barisic, who has only recently returned to the first-team after a two month absence due to injury.
The Croatian was superb on the left flank, not only combining effectively with Eros Grezda but also providing quality delivery into the box himself, including in the run up to the winning goal.
Fans are delighted to see him back and performing well, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts…
Gonnae start calling Borna Barisic The Postman, the guy delivers!

You’re already seeing the benefits of having Barisic back in that LB position, a natural left footer in his natural position! Makes a big difference.

Boy Barisic looks half decent. Still early doors but he has a nice balance out there and delivery has been great so far.

Barisic head and shoulders above anyone in our team today.
Both him and Grezda really starting to settle into the team— ⚫️⚫️ BarišićLOYAL (@weepaljoe_) December 16, 2018
Some fucking team from the PL is going to try and buy Barisic and I think I might cry if he leaves…
