There have been a few questions posed as to what type of manager Mick Beale will be and especially in a high profile role like at Rangers but if this clip is anything to go by, he will not suffer fools gladly.

Early last month, his then QPR side took an early lead only to go on to lose 1-2 to Huddersfield with the manager bemoaning a lack of following instructions and application on the pitch from his players.

He was unequivocal and forthight his his feelings and opinions on the game, with an even stronger facade likely to have been shown in the dressing room.

It provides a very interesting glimpse as the Beale regime gets underway at Ibrox.

The emotion and sentiment from Beale is obvious. Far from a supposed Mr Nice Guy, he does have the required steel and passion, as was witnessed on a Rangers touchline previously.

Following that loss to Huddersfield, his penultimate game in charge at Loftus Road, ahead of a 2-0 defeat away to Coventry City, he stated:

“We didn’t deserve anything because we were told before that set-plays would be big in the game, and counter-attacks, and that we couldn’t concede in either of those moments.

“Then we concede from two set-plays, that’s five out of the last six goals conceded and it doesn’t matter what the staff are asking the players to do if they don’t want to go and attack the ball.”

“This last week or so has not been good enough. It’s our sticky patch. We need to wake up.”

That resolve will stand the man in good stead for the ups and downs to follow at Ibrox.
