As expected, there has been a lot of noise and fury emanating from the QPR camp regarding the decision of Mick Beale to answer the call from Ibrox.

It has been something of an ongoing saga with a very decent start to their Championship season being interrupted by Wolves request to tempt their former Head Coach to the West Midlands. The R’s form hit the skids which sees them currently on a run of five games without a win with the next fixture to be embraced without Beale.

It was his comments about loyalty that have irked them so much, given the unfortunate timing of what came next but some of the criticism has been over the top, then there has been the ridiculous.

Another attack on Beale came via former QPR striker, Kevin Gallen as reported by Football League World. He was rightly sticking up for some players who were perhaps sold on the ‘project’ by Beale in making the move to west London, now he is no longer there. Gallen went on to make a final point that was simply wide of the mark:

“I feel sorry for them. They’ll probably feel let down. The disappointing thing for me is they’ll have a new manager coming in now and everyone starts again but if you’ve got a manager who keeps having his head turned, I think it’s best he leaves.”

“If you don’t want to be here, if you don’t want to be at QPR, go and get someone that wants to be at QPR, move on and move forward stronger.”

“You can’t have a manager who is always looking for something better.”

Wrong

Always looking something better? Wolves would have provided a far more lucrative salary in the supposed best league in the world so that doesn’t stand up to scrutiny at all.

It’s football. Things change. Injuries, contracts, transfers, managers. What if Beale had stayed on to preside over another five or six games without a win, would the club show further loyalty in such a position?

Those from a QPR perspective are right to be angry especially after the post-Wolves comments which appeared to strike a chord. At that time though, he didn’t know the Rangers job would be offered to him within a matter of weeks and anyone saying differently is at it.

    You’re talking sh*t!
He could have said “Not the right time!” about the Wolves job, and nothing more, but HE chose to spraff about integrity and loyalty! You’re welcome to him!

Given the way QPR treated Mark Warburton who came to the end of his contract and didn`t know what his future held because no-one had spoken to him , they can hardly preach loyalty .Warburton didn`t get the promotion they wanted but he did drag them out of the lower end of the Championship to at least competing for top 6 and they treated him shamefully. Karma as far as I`m concerned
