Two days on, this incredible rant from ex-Celtic manager Gordon Strachan is still quite hard to understand.

The former Scotland boss was on analysis duty for Premier Sports at the Old Firm Scottish cup clash, alongside, John Hartson, Derek McInnes, and David Weir.

In the aftermath of the Gers convincing 2-0 victory, Strachan launched into a long winded rant which was far from coherent.

That was bad enough – proper meltdown, lost the plot stuff.

What made it even better, was the perfect timing of the Ibrox DJ with Mental As Anything’s ‘Live it Up’

Co-incidence or deliberate trolloing masterclass, you decide.

“Hey yeah, you with the sad face” – It was poetic.

As an ex-Celtic manager and father of current Parkhead first team coach, Gavin, Strachan Snr has more of a vested interest than it appears at first glance.

He appeared to be scathing of the defensive capabilities displayed by Ajer, Laxalt and co, as well as playing down the extent of the gap between champions Rangers and the runners-up, in comparison to the contributions from the other panellists.

However any relevant points were quite simply lost in the trail of his rant – which is exactly what is was.
