Rangers attacker Eros Grezda is slowly but surely getting back to full match fitness after completing 90 minutes of Albania’s UEFA Nations League match against Israel on Sunday.

It was his first full match of the season so far for club or country having suffered a debilitating ankle injury before joining up at Ibrox.

His action for Rangers has been limited to substitute appearances so far, making a 13 minute cameo against Dundee last month before getting a more robust 40 minutes in League Cup action against Ayr United.

Prior to the start against Israel, he got a half of action in a 0-0 draw against Jordan last Thursday evening.

Those caps should stand him in good stead to make an impact on his return to the Rangers squad, with supporters eager to see what he is capable of on a regular basis.

He scored eight goals and created three assists last season at NK Osijek and that kind of attacking contribution will hopefully be improved upon surrounded by better players under the guidance of Steven Gerrard.

With the ability to also play through the middle as a striker, will he be the option that Gerrard turns to in the upcoming semi-final against Aberdeen?
