Rangers fans were delighted this weekend to hear former captain Barry Ferguson tell the SFA what most supporters think of them.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, the Ibrox icon said of the association at a fans’ function: “Can I just say one thing? F*** the SFA! I tell you one thing, they never helped us. I hate they b***ards!”
He launched the attack when discussing the famous 2007/2008 season that saw the Gers reach the UEFA Cup Final, only to be mired in a fixture headache that took its toll on the fitness of the players at the tail-end of the season.
Since 2008 the SFA have only ever seemed to hinder Rangers than help them in any way and there is now zero faith in the organisation from a Rangers support point of view.
Ferguson is only saying what we’re all thinking and let’s hope he brings that attitude into his punditry on outlets like BBC Scotland in future.
Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his outburst…
