Liverpool loanee Ovie Ejaria has quite got going at Ibrox for Rangers yet but with the boost in confidence he’ll take from having opened his club account at the weekend in the draw against Motherwell, it could now really begin to click for the talented youngster.
The 20-year-old headed into us to team up with Steven Gerrard once more and Liverpool fans seemed pretty confident we did have a gem on our hands once he’d had time to settle in and he’s featured regularly for the gaffer so far in 2018/19 starting seven matches across all competitions and taking in three substitute appearances.
With Kyle Lafferty bringing us back to level terms twice at Fir Park as we dealt with falling behind on two occasions, Ejaria gave us the lead before we unfortunately conceded the late leveller ourselves, but fans of the Anfield outfit are watching his progress closely and at least from the following social media tweets, they are pleased to see him beginning to find his feet after a disappointing spell with Sunderland last season.
Over Ejaria is becoming something special under SG at Rangers. One to keep our eyes on this season. Hope he gets his chance under Jurgebn. #LFC #Rangers

I think this #Ejaria Rangers loan will do him the world of good. Always had the technique and ability. Playing in the SPL will toughen him up for EPL. #LFC

Gerrard certainly rates him with the game time he’s getting so if a decision is taken that he won’t cut the mustard with them if he enjoys himself here maybe attentions will turn to a permanent deal further down the line if he keeps impressing and shows further improvement.
