With Rangers playing our a 3-3 draw against Motherwell at Fir Park at the weekend, whilst the result wasn’t what fans wanted, there were positives and talking points to take from the 90 minutes.
Returning to Premiership action as we played out a six-goal thriller, it was probably delightful for a neutral, but Steven Gerrard’s side had to dig in twice to come from behind – the first time we’ve been in that position this season – and I see plenty of positives from what that means for spirit and determination in the group.
Another clear positive was new signing Kyle Lafferty’s first two goals for the club following his arrival from Hearts the other day.
Having finally taken advantage ourselves, there was plenty of disappointment as we let the lead slip but Andy Halliday stole the show for many as they took to social media during and after the match that had just played out.
He was anonymous today, how long does this shite pretending he is anywhere near good enough need to go on? He is not good enough, not his fault, but that is a fact.

Dare I say we are missing Halliday’s composure & putting his foot on the ball since he went off

I was one of the biggest people wanting Halliday out but his performances these last few games have changed my mind! The guy is a good squad player who can be rotated and come in and play well

Halliday has been like a new signing last two games.

Andy halliday regardless of where he's played so far this season is a different player shows what a bit a confidence and faith from the manager can do for a player

Halliday looking a new player under Gerrard

With plenty expecting him to move on this summer, effort was rarely in doubt but quality was for a number of fans, his resurgence has to again be seen as a positive of life under Gerrard now as the above tweets show some old cliches made an appearance.
Not everyone agreed, but that was never going to happen.
