Rangers are on the back of a brilliant win against Livingston. It’s a game that has likely reignited the hope amongst supporters, with a title challenge still seen as an optimistic target by most.
As per Sky Sports, Walker said: “If you sell Morelos, you sell your chances of winning the title. He’s the top scorer in Scotland, he’s got a marvellous attitude to scoring goals, working as a team player and he’s so important for Steven Gerrard”.
Certainly, losing a player of Morelos’ quality would only be a bad thing for Rangers. He’s one of our best players, and his passion and desire is clear for all to see.
Sure, the money would be nice, and it could lead to some investment down the road, but if it comes at the cost of a title challenge, and it would certainly have an impact on any potential challenge – make no mistake, we aren’t sure it’s worth it.
Of course, with Jermain Defoe now in the squad, our reliance on Morelos isn’t quite so obvious, but you’d expect Steven Gerrard to resist any potential interest strongly.
