Kemar Roofe almost helped himself to a goal after coming on a sub against Hearts on Saturday.

Craig Gordon’s touch put his effort on to the post in what would have been a game clincher but following the late disappointment that followed, the Walsall-born striker appears to be in the mood to get back to business, quickly.

On his Instagram account tonight, Roofe dropped some images of himself in European action with an enticing caption which could well be an indication that the Jamaica international will line up at Ibrox from the start against Brondby in the important Europa League, Group A clash.

The former Leeds and Anderlecht man is Rangers top scorer across all competitions this term but he is yet to get off the mark in the Europa League in the current season.

Thinking back to his goals last year against the likes of Benfica and Standard Liege, Roofe is a player for the big occasion and he will get chances tomorrow evening.

The big question appears to be whether he will get the nod in place of Alfredo Morelos or alongside him? Fashion Sakala is also vying for a spot in a game that is realistically a ‘must win’ for the Scottish champions.

Ianis Hagi should retain his starting berth from the weekend, whilst Scott Wright is likely to have to settle for a place on the bench.

After two games in the Europa League group stage, Rangers are without a goal or a point – that has to change against the Danish visitors in order to kick-start the campaign, with the front men needing to get back in amongst the goals after passing up too many chances in the last couple of games.
