Rangers supporters have received prior notice of how tickets will be distributed for the Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Hibs.

The last four clash will take place at Hampden on Sunday 21st November, but the Bears now already know what to expect in terms of the process for dishing out the tickets.

What is not yet known is the most important thing, the total number of tickets to be allocated to their club by the SPFL but that is expected to follow over the next couple of weeks.

In an email sent to all MyGers members/Season Ticket holders, the categories or ‘groups’ of priority for the semi tickets was confirmed.

It stated, “We will share more information on sales dates as soon as our ticket allocation has been confirmed.”

“Please note, these sales windows are subject to availability and for high-demand games it is expected that not every group will be able to receive access.”

The overall information and detail of communication on the email to supporters, which also provided an update on MyGers points was much better, but with room for further improvement.

At present, there is a lot of frustration amongst the Rangers fanbase towards the club in terms of comms and over ticketing in particular. It has only been in the last few days, that details for the Brondby away fixture was made public, despite the deadline for applications passing weeks ago.

Yes, its a tough job and especially with the roll-out of a new system (MyGers) but the fans are paying top dollar, over and over – and should be getting a first class experience in return.

That is not happening and for a club like Rangers, it is not good enough.

There has been an acknowledgement from the club of the need for improvement and over the course of this season and beyond, that has to be the outcome.
