Transfer deadline day is going to be quiet up and down the country this year with Rangers already pointing the way that their business is going with a series of pre-contract agreements, we will need to wait and see if any of them can be brought forward a few months.

Aberdeen are trying to get a wide man in before the window shuts and if they manage to get one then I’d expect Scott Wright to be allowed to leave, despite what Derek McInnes said – in fairness, he has been picking the Ibrox bound forward since the deal was announced, it’s maybe just as well that fans aren’t allowed into grounds if the social media response to the transfer is anything to go by.

There could be a merry-go-round if George Edmundson’s loan move to Derby County comes off with Jack Simpson likely to join up ahead of schedule, it’s not an essential move and, in all honesty, with Calvin Bassey able to deputise if needs be, we would be daft to block any departures just because we couldn’t get someone else in – anyway, I’d fancy my chances next to Connor Goldson for the remainder of the season to be honest with you, I certainly wouldn’t be any worse than Shane Duffy.

The one I’d be most excited about seeing would be Nnamdi Ofoborh, I’m hoping that the reason a deal hasn’t been announced is because we trying to get him in now – we’ll just need to wait and seen that one……
