Rangers will be hoping to add at least one new face between now and the transfer window shutting with one position in particular at the centre of most of the recent speculation.

A goal-scoring right winger would be a welcome sight standing with the red, white and blue scarf held aloft on the Ibrox park, Andreas Skov Olsen the name being mentioned more than any other.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, journalist Peter O’Rourke had confirmed that this is where the Light Blues are looking to strengthen:

“They’re actively looking for options on the right flank, and it just seems they’ve been linked with a lot of players right now. So, it’ll all depend on who Van Bronckhorst sees as the best fit for his side going forward.”

There have been a few names reported but nothing concrete since the transfer window opened other than rumoured bids for Skov Olsen, the Denmark international almost certain to leave Bologna over the next few days.

Ross Wilson has been ticking the boxes off since he joined from Southampton, getting a club record fee for a promising youngster his latest accomplishment but now he has to show that he can improve the starting XI when it is needed most.

Van Bronckhorst would never have agreed to the Rangers job if he wasn’t given reassurances about having money to spend to add his own players, that Olsen has been a target before suggests that the gaffer thinks he is better than he already has and is a good fit for his system.

Get the cheque book out and get a right winger signed, preferably one that can score goals, what are we waiting for?
