It’s been a successful transfer window so far for Rangers, whether or not you believe that John Lundstram and Fashion Sakala are an upgrade on what we already have.

The new additions are yet to make the impact that Steven Gerrard would have wanted, for a variety of reasons, however, Ross Wilson has also been busy when it comes to moving players off the wage bill, with one more potentially heading out soon.

This week we’ve seen Brandon Barker tipped to head south but the latest report surrounds the future of another Ger on the fringes, Niko Katic.

The big Croatian has returned to action following his knee injury and needs games to get back up to full fitness, he just isn’t going to get enough minute if he stays at Rangers in the short term, Gerrard has already said he is keen to get him out as the best option for both the club and the player.

Croatian Football News on Twitter has revealed that a daily newspaper in his homeland is tipping Katic for a loan move to Dinamo Zagreb, it would be a good chance for him to play games at a decent level as well as letting him get back to some sort of normality having spent most of lockdown rehabilitating and unable to travel.

Who scored Rangers first ever goal under Steven Gerrard in EL qualification?

At 24-years old, he still has plenty of time on his side to improve, there has never been any doubt about his strengths but, if he is to have a long-term future at Rangers, he needs to work on his distribution – hopefully, he’ll get that chance at Zagreb.
