It’s not the first time that Rangers players have ben the subject of interest from Turkey; Glen Kamara, Ianis Hagi and Alfredo Morelos have all been linked with moves away in the past, however, on this occasion, fans have nothing to worry about.

Morelos, who has been targeted by Konyaspor, are said to be the team keeping tabs on his situation with the Colombian’s contract expiring in the summer.

However, with Ross Wilson unable to bring anyone else in and both Kemar Roofe and Antonio Colak not 100% fit, there is no chance of us cashing in now. Morelos, until the end of the season, remains pivotal to our chances of success.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, transfer journalist Dean Jones has confirmed just that and has predicted that there will be no last-minute shocks:

“There have been so many pursuits of Morelos over the past year or so that you lose track. But it’s a countdown to another deadline day and here he is involved in another storyline.

“Ultimately, it sounds like from Rangers’ point of view, they just can’t let him leave at the moment. They need him for the rest of this season.”

It would be a huge surprise to see Morelos go given the circumstances, plus the player himself will know that, if money is his motivation, he will be able to demand a higher salary in the summer when clubs wouldn’t need to speak to us first.

Morelos’s stay in Scotland has never been far from controversy and has certainly never been dull, let’s hope that we see more highlights than lowlights as the curtain, potentially, draws on his time in Govan.
