Rangers star talks himself up after Aberdeen clash

|

As quoted by the Belfast Telegraph, Rangers’ on-loan defender Joe Worrall has been left in no doubt about how important his goal really was.

The Gers were away at Aberdeen yesterday afternoon and could only get a draw in what was a fierce competition at Pittodrie.

Certainly, it could have gone either way and so perhaps we will take a replay against the Dons back at our place.

For sure, the Dons are there to be beaten at Ibrox and I am confident that we can build on Joe Worrall’s goal and get into the final four.

Worrall is certainly pleased with his contribution, too, with him suggesting that his goal may well have saved our season.

He said:

“It’s a massive goal. The gaffer said at half-time we needed a goal to save our season and stay in the cup.”

You can’t deny how important it was for us to score with the cup our best chance of silverware this campaign.

It might seem a little extreme, though, but at least we are still in it for now.
