I wasn’t going to but, well, I told you so.

Results have been inconsistent but we need to trust the process, we have been creating enough chances to win games handsomely and yet we haven’t been putting them away – what doesn’t help perception is when we give away cheap goals, and the lead, in each of our last few league games.

As the numbers suggest we should have been battering teams recently, but the trend is an upward curve, teams never go from playing badly, as we were at the start of the season, to winning comfortably. There has been the odd dip – Motherwell, Hearts, Aberdeen, but, the win against Motherwell this weekend should be the catalyst to see us pulling away from the pack.

The games that we have dropped points in saw us miss plenty of chances to win the game, that won’t happen all season, the fact that we are in November, four points clear at the top and yet, still aren’t at our best, is a positive – the league isn’t won at this stage of the season but it can certainly be lost.

With Borna Barisic, Filip Helander, Ryan Jack and Ryan Kent all missing from the squad at Fir Park there is a lot to look forward to over the next few weeks – trust the process, we’ll be fine.
