If you have OCD, Aaron Ramsey has some statistics that will be very soothing to the eye, even mores if you are a Rangers fan.

Despite having a reputation for picking up injuries he has 474 senior appearances 74 goals and 74 assists, nearly a goal or an assist every three games from midfield, not bad for a player who has spent their whole career at the very top of football.

When you throw in his 71 international caps for Wales with 20 goals and eight assists, he averages over 40 appearances per season since he burst onto the scene, considering he has been out of favour for most of his time at Juventus, it’s not a bad record at all.

When you look at his injury history on Transfermarkt, it would appear that he is more prone to the odd niggle rather than anything serious, given his recent past, we should expect the odd tight hamstring or quadricep but with Scott Arfield and Joe Aribo currently filling the positions that the Welshman is likely to fill, he won’t be expected to play every minute of every game.

He has missed a few games since November but his absence in 2022 can be attributed to Covid-19, hopefully, he is over this and good to hit the ground running this week.

In fact, you have to go back to his infamous tibia/fibula break suffered at the hands of Ryan Shawcross for the last really bad injury that he sustained.

Rangers are signing an experienced, top quality operator who has played a lot of games in his career, a proper player for a proper club.
