Rangers run to the Europa League final last season gave fans an awful lot of enjoyment in more ways than one, an added bonus for the younger generation unable to travel to away games or for the older gamer in your family happened to be the inclusion of a number of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s squad as part of special edition FIFA cards.

This season has seen James Tavernier and Ryan Kent picked out for star treatment, however, EA Sports latest release has seen a few eyebrows getting raised by Rangers fans.

Malik Tillman has a very strong shout for not only being our young player of the year but also our player of the year. His contributions in the Champions League qualifiers were pivotal in us qualifying for the group stages even if most of us would rather forget the torturous six games.

He has been recognised by EA Sports as being a Future Star, unfortunately, it isn’t in his correct position.

Tillman, has played as a striker at youth level but mainly as a number ten, for Rangers he has been deployed as an attacking midfielder, right-sided attacker and as a number eight.

With eight goals and five assists to his name, the 20-year old is really starting to look every bit the £5million that it would take to make his loan from Bayern Munch permanent and Michael Beale has already spoken at length about wanting to get a deal done.

Tillman is a future star and for all that £5m is a lot of money for us, we would be buying an almost instant profit given his potential. Remember, he played just a handful of senior games before heading to Glasgow and he is only going to get better. Those stats on his FIFA card will be heading in one direction.
