In 2015, Rangers were miles away from where they needed to be both on, and off the pitch, however, since then, millions have been spent looking to put us back on top in every aspect of the club.

Vital Rangers has covered the news that the current club shop at Ibrox will see work begin this year towards converting it into a sports bar for use before and after games as an extra revenue generator alongside New Edmiston House with James Bisgrove leading the way on both projects.

The commercial director has been speaking to the Four Lads Had a Dream blog and in an interview covering several upgrades to Ibrox and the surrounding area, he had good news for those Rangers fans that have invested in the official supporter package for Edmiston House:

“We have over 5000 supporters who have bought the official supporter package.

“We have been preparing communications to supporters which will outline how they can redeem some of the benefits because every fan that has bought the official package will get the first opportunity to book tickets, whether it’s a club-run event or not and they will also have their name inscribed on the wall.

“It’s a point we can’t overemphasise because that funding has contributed to the building of the venue so every supporter who has contributed is part of the legacy of Edmiston House and we probably couldn’t have done it without that backing which will only increase once the venue is up and running.”

The cost of the packages are £150 so, on top of season tickets, MyGers, buying club strips and merchandise, fans have really dug deep for the club, however, getting first refusal on any club and other events at the facility will be a worthwhile investment once Edmiston House is completed.

The only downside is, as with away games, you just know that it is all going to end in tears with 5000 members fighting for 1300 tickets!
