We still have another three weeks of the transfer window being open in Scotland and, as we’ve seen before, a lot can change in a day never mind a week.

One player who has been at the front of speculation this summer has been Glen Kamara, who has attracted interest from the Premier League and further afield, a starring role in our journey to the Europa League final likely to have caught the eye of scouts all over the continent.

Things have quietened down recently, however, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see late bids towards the end of the window and, speaking to GiveMeSport, former Sky Sports reporter Peter O’Rourke reckons that the Finland international could yet depart the club:

“I think there could still be a late twist. There’s been quite a few clubs interested in Glen Kamara from the Premier League and from abroad as well. So you can never rule out a possible move. We’ve still got plenty of time left in this transfer window as well and, I think for Rangers’ sake, if it’s an offer they can’t turn down they would have to maybe let Kamara move on.”

Even with Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos being in the last 12 months of their current deals, I’d still back Kamara as the most likely to move on, mainly due to the amount of interest but also because of his position in the squad.

He would command a sizeable transfer fee that could see money invested into a goal-scoring midfielder and a player more suitable to Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s system. This isn’t a slight on Kamara, he is a hugely talented player and one that will thrive in a better league where the opposition doesn’t set up with 11 men behind the ball – if he is given the chance.
