Wilson out.
How many times have you seen this already this summer even though the transfer window is in its infancy?
Apparently it should be easy to just go out, find a decent player and get them to sign a contract, especially with players like Erik Botheim – said to have been approached by the club – who would love to come to Rangers, right?
Well, not all players are like Connor Goldson and willing to turn down better offers to play for a club with stature, history and expectations and it would appear that the Norwegian is pretty far removed from our vice-captain.
A report coming out of Turkey claims that Galatasaray have made an offer to the 22-year old, however, he is said to be asking for an eye watering €2million as a signing on fee and over €50,000 per week in wages.
Botheim looking for €50k a week and a €2m signing on fee from Galatasaray according to this report💰 https://t.co/5Xqp14Sk6k

His move to Krasnodar when he had clubs with better reputations and in better leagues is beginning to make a lot of sense, it always did seem like a strange move at such an early stage of his career.
All this does is highlight that signing players is just not as simple as some Rangers fans like to make out, if we signed Botheim and paid him £45,000 a week, Alfredo Morelos’s agent would demand that, as would Ryan Kent’s, Ross Wilson is right to stick to his guns when it comes to our wage structure, we can offer players more than enough in other aspects and, if they perform well, only then should they be rewarded.
Botheim is a cracking player and one that would have made an impact at Rangers, however, as the highest paid player, I don’t think it could be justified with him sitting on the bench for a fit and firing El Bufalo.
Morelos is leaving- give this guy his signing on fee and £35,000 : that would be a fearsome front two (with the big Croatian) to take the title back. Make it so Wilson – the jury is out on you.
Botheim IS NOT Rangers class FORGET about signing this guy
