Roll up, roll up! – Grab your bargains in Parkhead fire sale, who’s next?

There’s going to be something of a fire sale across the city and by all accounts, it looks like the propaganda has already started.

For the last few seasons we’ve heard how Odsonne Edouard is worth over £40million, Kris Ajer over £25m and Ryan Christie something similar – spoiler alert – they aren’t going to get anywhere near that for any of their “prized” assets.

For a start, they are all coming up to the last year of their contracts and Christie will be able to speak to clubs in the summer about a pre-contract move, apparently he is better than both John McGinn and Stuart Armstrong who have established themselves in the Premier League, have you seen him play this season?

Ajer, linked every window with teams like AC Milan and Liverpool is now on a shopping list for mighty Norwich City with his price tag dropping every time his name is mentioned, we’re into single figures for the Norwegian international now.

I have to be honest and say that I think Edouard is a cracking player – when he can be bothered – and I will be glad to see the back of him, replacing him is going to be their biggest problem this summer but they’ll have to do it without the £30-40m they claimed he was worth last summer, oh, and there is the small matter of PSG’s 40% sell-on clause.

But the biggest hint yet that all is not well, Ismaila Soro, two good games and he was their saviour much in the way Ross McCrorie was ours a few years back. Scott Brown is keeping him out of the team for goodness sake but has this stopped him from being pimped out, Tottenham Hotspur sare said to be “keeping tabs” on him but I’m not sure how they’ll manage this with him sitting on the bench most weeks.

It’s going to be an interesting summer for us as we make subtle adjustments to the squad and add upgrades in one or two places whilst over in the east end of Glasgow they’ll be taking what they can get for players that have no interest in staying whilst at the same time scrambling to build a squad bereft of numbers and quality – wonder how much they would want for Edouard, could do us a turn you know….
