Quoted by Football Insider, Paul Robinson has suggested that Alfredo Morelos would excel in the Premier League if an exit from Ibrox to England went through.
The Gers have been brilliant so far this season for most of the campaign and we have a real chance of earning a shot at the title this year.
Indeed, Steven Gerrard has done a good job with the squad and keeping Morelos at the club was part of that, though the rumours around the Colombian forward are perhaps never going to go.
And, in an interview, former Leeds, Blackburn and England goalkeeper Morelos suggested that if a Premier League side came calling he would be fine in the top tier down south.
He said:
“Yeah, of course, Premier League teams will be sniffing around Morelos, you look at the teams he’s playing against week in, week out and that has to be questioned – but you have to score the goals.”
It’s hard to disagree, of course, because Morelos is a top footballer but hopefully we can keep him at the club for longer than the end of this season because he’s only getting better.
