Rangers take a break from SPL football to take part in two consecutive cup ties. Next week it is the League Cup Final in which Rangers hope to win as part of their bid to win the treble.

This week though it is the Scottish Cup, and Rangers welcome Dundee United to Ibrox for the quarter-final clash.

Rangers have face United on two occasions so far this season, and have won easily on both occasions. Both games took place in December due to the first league game being abandoned.

The first game was a 3-0 victory at Tannadice, followed later that month with an emphatic 7-1 victory at Ibrox. Dundee United will obviously be keen to win back some pride in this one, but will have to try and beat a Rangers side who have only lost one SPL game in a year.

European football apart, Rangers have been almost flawless over the past year, under very trying circumstances. Let’s hope that can continue, and Rangers can join Celtic who are already in the hat for the semi-final draw after victory over Kilmarnock.

Rangers Team News:

Madjid Bougherra should be back for this one after missing the past two games due to a hamstring injury. Kirk Broadfoot will miss out due to a hamstring but would have been unlikely to have started anyway.
