Rangers fans hate the idea of signing Middlesbrough midfielder Stewart Downing after he was linked with a move to Ibrox over the weekend.
The Teesside Gazette reported that Steven Gerrard, a former teammate of the player at club and international level, was weighing up making a move for the 34-year-old.
His contract is up at the end of the season and he is free to leave his boyhood club, according to the report.
Loads of supporters are worried about the club becoming something of a end-of-career destination for past it former English Premier League professionals.
Ibrox is already harbouring players like Jermain Defoe, Steven Davis and Gareth McAuley, all of whom are currently offering little to the first-team.
With Downing unlikely to improve upon the wide options we currently have, a move for him feels pretty pointless, even though he is still playing regularly at a decent level.
These fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the potential move…
No.. all these EPL veterans coming up for a last payday and too sample the Old Firm Derby & full houses to fall miserably short and block youth development, nope from me
