New Rangers signing Brandon Barker has revealed that part of the reason he joined the Gers from Manchester City was thanks to the chat he had with Raheem Sterling before leaving.
The Gers have had a very impressive summer window so far and it could get even better, though it probably doesn’t matter if we don’t actually make any more signings.
That in mind, though, Barker is one man that has come in of late and he looks ready to bring himself on progression wise at Ibrox.
Indeed, part of the reason he has moved on, too, is after winger Raheem Sterling told him that he should grasp the opportunity presented to him by the Glasgow club.
Quoted by the Scottish Sun, Barker revealed:
“Raheem told me to go for it, definitely. It was my time to move on now and I think all the boys knew that.”
Sterling has done a good job for us here, then, and hopefully we’ll see what Barker can do in the weeks and months to come as we kick on into the campaign.
