Contrary to reports earlier today, a supposed further injury issue for Tom Lawrence has been denied.

The update was provided by Heart and Hand podcast, commercial partners of the club following contact with Ibrox in what will be a massive sigh of relief for the supporters in amongst a period of continued bad news at the club.

Prior to the World Cup break, the injuries kept on coming and that downturn appeared to be compounded with news that the Welshman would be ruled out well into the New Year but for now those fears have been allayed.

It has to be said that no specific timeline has been provided either way in terms of when Lawrence should be expected to return to first team contention close after the restart or further into 2023 but with the point of confirming no subsequent problem, it is a fair assumption to believe he will be back prior to March if all goes to plan.

The attacker will not be rushed, nor is there a need to. He can bring plenty to Rangers in the forward areas and will be a key asset for the new manager to arrive at Ibrox in the near future.

Those players who have been away on holiday, as permitted by the club, will be arriving back to Auchenhowie in the coming days either side of the weekend ahead of the build up to the Hibs game on 15th December. As well as warm-up games against Swansea and Bayer Leverkusen, the incoming new boss should have plenty of time and scope to make an immediate impression but much of that will come down to the personnel available.

Do we believe anything the club tell us about injuries anymore? They don`t tell us what the injuries are and everyone`s comebacks get further and further away. Guys like Helander , Roofe , Jack, Hagi and now Lawrence and Goldson have all had their returns postponed over and over again. Its poor .
