On the day when thousands of fans make a much anticipated return to Ibrox, there are also several new and returning faces in Steven Gerrard’s squad for the visit of Brighton.

The starting line-up and the bench make for exciting viewing – as well as the prospect of another game to follow against Real Madrid tomorrow evening.

From the start against Graham Potter’s side, in comes Stephen Kelly and Scott Arfield, as well as a start for Cedric Itten, who has built momentum so far in this pre-season period.

A massive chance awaits Jordan Jones, who is seemingly in the shop window for other clubs but as long as he is still at Ibrox and being handed a starting berth, he needs to maximise his impact.

A look at the bench provides a lot of excitement and encouragement.

The inclusion of Borna Barisic and Niko Katic in particular, is great to see – as well as the first potential look at new frontman, Fashion Sakala.

11 subs in total have been named, so widespread changes are very likely, into the second half as Rangers are primed for their penultimate practice game, prior to the start of the full season next weekend.

Expect an increase in intensity over the two games this weekend, let’s go Rangers.
