Ally McCoist has revealed he is still hoping to bring in another striker as he bids to make Rangers a very offensive team next season.
Speaking to the Official Site McCoist talked about those players he’s signed already and his potential targets that remain.
‘We have signed Jon Daly, Nicky Clark and Nicky Law and they are definitely all more attack minded players. We could probably do with another centre forward as well, and I’ve already mentioned that to Craig Mather, who seems favourable.’
McCoist says that he doesn’t feel Rangers had the volume of strikers he needed last season and although Little and McCulloch performed well, better competition and options would’ve helped us have an easier time in the league last season he feels. Pointing to the times he had to play one up front, and when injuries and the like hit.
McCoist thanks Craig Mather for his efforts so far in backing him in the market and all the legwork he’s doing, but he still has plenty of other additions in mind and he’s not ignoring our strength in midfield or defence as he builds for a more attacking Rangers team next term.
