The runaway Gio train just got even faster!
A leaked image has emerged this afternoon suggesting that Giovanni van Bronckhorst is set to travel to London tomorrow.
Now it could be that he fancies getting some nice pictures at Big Ben and Buckingham Palace or as is more likely, he is on his way into the UK to meet with Rangers directors over the vacant manager’s job which he is the strong favourite candidate.
Why London and not Glasgow? Several reasons. To avoid crowds and the media circus for one. In London, they can be discreet and largely away from being recognised. It also adds professionalism, nothing is guaranteed at this point and the talks will go a long way to determining the outcome.
It is common for talks and official details to be dealt with in London, just as Rangers have done previously for boardroom and financial matters.

Whilst the veracity of the image cannot be confirmed at this stage, it is known that negotiations and dialogue is in full flow just now as Rangers officials work to secure their new man.
Other candidates are in contention which could result in something of a surprise but for now, all roads lead to the return of Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
