Michael Beale leaves Rangers as a very popular figure, adding to his credentials as an excellent first team coach.

This afternoon, he has paid tribute to everyone at Rangers and has gave thanks for everything – all of his experiences, memories and friendships. The likeable Londoner has importantly left the door open to a return to Ibrox in the future, unequivocally stating “one day I’d like to have the opportunity to come back an do it all again.”

He can’t be any more clearer than that, as to where his emotions lie.

The move to Aston Villa will set Beale and his family for life, with game changing finances involved, it is a move that he could not have turned down, even if Rangers wanted to approach him for the vacant manager job. Realistically, he will remain part of Gerrard’s team for the forseeable future and hopefully they can make it to Anfield together.

On his Instagram account he stated:

“Thank you – to everyone at Rangers Football Club, the players, staff, board members and most importantly the fans. Thank you so much for the support and time you have given me.”

“Representing the club was a huge honour and privilege. The last 3.5yrs has been an incredible experience for me and my family, my daughter was born here in Glasgow and I leave with two sons who are Rangers crazy.”

“The time has flown and I have memories that will last a lifetime – The “invincible 55”, the big European nights / performances, the incredible away support at every city and stadium we visit, 193 games including 53 in European competition, the unbeaten run in old firm matches, the current run of 1 defeat in 52 league games, working with this group of players, the people I’ve met and the friendships built both inside and outside of the club.”

Impact

With the montage of pictures and a further message, it is clear to see what the club meant to him and more importantly, how happy his family were in Glasgow. He would often share pictures of family outings in different locations around Scotland and the joy was clear to see, matching the success and contribution made by Beale to the Rangers team on the pitch.

He leaves for Birmingham with the best wishes of the Rangers supporters and rightfully so, he made a huge impact in his time at the club.
