Midfielder Kyle Hutton has said he’s delighted to be in first team contention again now after his spell on the sidelines in the first half of the season and he’s obviously hoping for more performances like his man of the match nod in the Raith Rovers game.

Speaking to the Official Site he admitted he was frustrated being out of contention, but now he has been given a chance again he feels his own form is benefiting from that.

‘I’ve got my chance and I’ve felt that it’s up to me to keep putting in performances to help the gaffer to keep picking me week in and week out and I’m doing that so I’m delighted. If I keep putting in performances and the boys keep putting those performances in it will be good for the team and hopefully we can put a bit of pressure on Hearts and then who knows what happens. It can get a wee bit frustrating when you’re not getting your chance so to have got it now and get 90 minutes under my belt again is good.’

Speaking more about the Raith game in particular, he was obviously delighted to see us pick up our first victory since January 10 and bring an end to three successive losses.

‘The way the games have been going for us recently it was important to come here and get the three points and we’ve done that. We made it hard for ourselves at the end with them getting a goal back but we held true for an important three points.’
