In the euphoria of the 4-1 Old Firm victory, the goalscorers have rightly received plenty of acclaim.

Kemar Roofe, Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe put Celtic to the sword in style – but what about the fine assist delivered by Ianis Hagi?

The talented Romanian international displayed his ability and intelligence once again with a beautiful first-time pass to Defoe who executed the finish with aplomb.

Just like the third goal, an excellent combination between Roofe and Borna Barisic, the final goal of the game was very attractive football – Celtic were simply tore apart.

Hagi only came on to the pitch at the 84 minute mark, yet he still managed to have a key role as the game was deep into additional time.

That impact made it a stunning 10 Premiership assists this term for Ianis Hagi, with 13 across all competitions.

It underlines the reason why the likes of Sevilla and Lazio have been linked with the Romanian – he is a very talented player.

Despite some inconsistency, partly due to a lack of regular time, Hagi deserves more time and patience so that he can hopefully fulfil his full potential at Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard and the Rangers coaches will be working very hard with that objective in mind but regardless, they have an asset to be further developed and sold on for a profit when the time comes.
