Giovanni van Bronkhorst becomes the 17th permanent manager of Rangers Football Club.
He is the second Dutchman to hold the honour, having previously played under the first foreign manager in the club’s history, Dick Advocaat.
This Rangers return makes sense for player and club, it is a compatible fit in several aspects and most importantly, we now have a hungry, capable, but experienced manager at the helm as Rangers aim go on the assault ro retain the Scottish Premiership title as well as making further progress in the cups, at home and abroad, starting this Sunday.
Upon his unveiling as the new manager, GvB was very happy to send a message to the Rangers supporters:
I am very excited and proud to be returning to Rangers as the club’s new manager. I can’t wait to meet all of you! pic.twitter.com/6qdJVbGBjn

“Excited” and “proud” is just what the fans want to hear.
A new manager will bring his own qualities and own style – that is exactly what Gio will do at Ibrox in what is certin to be a bright new era at Ibrox.
Roll on Sunday, as the next chapter is about to begin and expect to see a bright burst of Oranje at the national stadium on Sunday as the BEars get in the mood and get right behind the new man in the way that they do best.
It has only just begun!
