Glen Kamara has sent a big thank you to his fans following Finland’s elimination at Euro 2020 as further Premier League clubs are linked with a move for the silky midfielder.

Across his performances against Denmark, Russia and Belgium, the 25-year old stood out – his quality and skillset clear to see, as widely acknowledged by BBC commentators Jonathan Pierce and Martin Keown, in particular.

He took to social media to send a “special thanks” to the fans, on the back of the Finns first appearance at the European Championship.

Scottish Premiership winner Kamara will now get a well-earned break before rejoinng his teammates at Auchenhowie to step up preparations for the new season, regardless of growing speculation on his future.

GiveMeSport have reported that Premier League sides West Ham and Everton are keen on a deal for the Rangers star:

“Aside from Arsenal – the club who brought the midfielder to England in 2012 – Watford have been linked with a move.”

“Sources close to the situation have confirmed the interest from Vicarage Road, although Kamara’s situation has not gone unnoticed throughout the Premier League.”

“Indeed, Everton, West Ham United, Brentford and a number of teams in Russia have all touched base with the player’s camp about the kind of deal he’d be looking for this summer.”

Saga

With form and success comes interest – Steven Gerrard knows that is a price to pay as champions and he wouldn’t want it any other way.

What is important is that as soon as possible, the manager and sporting director Ross Wilson are in control of the situation in terms of likely exits from Ibrox this Summer.

Speculation is abound with Alfredo Morelos and Porto, so combined with the situation on Kamara, the Gers can’t afford an ongoing saga around such pivotal first team players.

Potenital replacements will have been drawn up already and once Rangers internationals return to base, further clarity on their individual situations will follow.
