Fast start like Cove is the key for momentum

The end of the season run starts for real now.

Last week against Cove Rangers, Steven Gerrard’s team shook off the international break and its disruption to put the League 1 side to the sword early in that game.

A similar fast start today would be welcome in a key game, as the Gers aim to build momentum ahead of the Scottish Cup clash against Celtic next week.

With the league already taken care of, there should be a lack of caution with the players free to express themselves and enjoy their football.

Hopefully we will see the team on the front foot and collecting another three points in style.

The conditions at Ibrox are great today, the stage is set and it’s up for the players to do the rest.

Hibs will pose a challenge, but as always, its all about what Rangers – the Champions – do.

The front three of Kent, Morelos and Roofe will have plenty chances to make their mark – a repeat of the first half salvo from last week will do nicely.

Come on the Rangers!
