Rangers have progressed in the Scottish League Cup after a 3-1 victory away to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday afternoon.
In what could have been a tricky encounter, Steven Gerrard’s men produced an excellent battling performance to emerge as winners thanks to a hat-trick from Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos.
The 22-year-old was in lethal form and rightly drew plenty of plaudits for his first hat-trick in Rangers colours, but it was another star that many fans were in awe of – Scott Arfield.
The midfielder was excellent throughout and showed exactly why he was one of the club’s first signings this summer.
He was creative force and had a big hand in the third Rangers goal of the afternoon that made everything comfortable late on.
Many named him their man of the match, despite Morelos’ outstanding triple.
