Whilst Ally McCoist can welcome back Lewis Macleod, we have defensive issues ahead of the final game of the season.

Chris Hegarty has undergone a hernia operation, Lee Wallace and Emilson Cribari are out with knee and calf problems respectively. Ross Perry is still struggling with a hamstring problem so it appears our defensive centres will be Andy Mitchell and Luca Gasparotto once again.

Speaking the the Official Site ahead of the game, McCoist said.

‘Wallace looks as though he’s struggling again and Emilson looks like he’ll be out. Defensively we’re thin on the ground again but Luca has done well and we’ve got one or two others who have come in and done well. Andy Mitchell is one of those who did well at right back, and then left back, so we’ll shuffle things around again.’

As for Chris Hegarty, he comments that he’s been tweeting everybody pictures of hospital gowns, but thankfully no body parts or scars! But he’ll be pleased to see him back for the start of next campaign.

Ally also confirms that Lewis Macleod will get his wish as he will be involved against Berwick, saying that despite his injury he has been ‘one of the stars of our team this year.’

He adds that the biggest compliment he can pay the 18 year old is to say that since he’s been out the team have missed him.
