The Rangers team for the second Old Firm clash of the season has been confirmed and there is an element of consistency for tonight’s massive top of the table Scottish Premiership clash. Here we go!

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s line-up at Parkhead is as follows:

Allan McGregor – James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Calvin Bassey, Borna Barisic – Glen Kamara, Scott Arfield, Joe Aribo – Ryan Kent, Kemar Roofe, Amad Diallo.

On the bench is  Jon McLaughlin – Leon Balogun – John Lundstram, Ryan Jack, Steven Davis, James Sands, Alex Lowry – Cedric Itten, Fashion Sakala.

That makes just one change from Saturday in Dingwall, with Itten’s omission expected and a regular 4-3-3 system to be deployed.

The inclusion of Kemar Roofe was anticipated by most and the Jamaican international should carry an increased threat up front.

In midfield, Rangers need to be firm, especially in the first half hour with Celtic to come out of the blocks, fast. Kamara and Arfield need to provide the base to allow the ‘front four’ to attack. There will be space in behind for the pace of Amad, Aribo and Kent in what is an exciting prospect.

A mixture of pace and experience is waiting on the bench with Leon Balogun also providing defensive back-up.

Rangers are able to secure a five point gap at the top of the table if the three points can be secured.

It’s almost time for the game to get underway, kick-off at Parkhead is at 7.45pm.
