Antonio Colak has made an impression already on the training ground, whilst the disrupted game against Sunderland last night didn’t allow for too many chances to impress last night.

In the abandoned game in Albufeira, the Croatian international looked neat and tidy in certain exchanges and interplay with his teammates, after only a few days working together.

He had a double chance, really a half chance, following some build up from Ryan Kent, but the effort was gathered eventually by the Sunderland goalkeeper.

However, as can be seen here, the former PAOK and Malmo striker showed his technique and stride with this drill at training in Portugal on Friday, much to the amusement of the onlooking Roy Makaay.

We all know roughly to expect from Colak after his exploits last season, but now at Ibrox there will be a natural pressure and demand on him to produce the goods.

That appears something that he is relishing as part of his move to Gio van Bronckhorst’s squad, as reported by Sky Sports:

“I have played in front of those incredible fans already, and now I want to experience on my own what it is like to be a part of this huge club, to win titles and to achieve every target the club has.”

“I want to be a part of this big family and I am really excited and can’t wait to get started.”

With injury issues relating to Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe, he will get his chance early with a strong possibility that he will lead the line going into the Champions League qualifiers in around three weeks time.
