‘Clearly not good enough’ – Some Rangers fans hate the idea of January signing

Charlie Adam in action for Stoke City

Rangers supporters aren’t keen on the idea of signing Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam, after he told Sky Sports he was interested in a move back to Ibrox.

Adam has struggled to get regular action at the Potters in the Championship this term and is looking for a team he get week-to-week action at.

The former Liverpool man, who left Rangers way back in 2009, is probably now below the standards we require to challenge for major honours, with his ability and fitness clearly deteriorating in recent seasons.

That, coupled with the numbers already available in the heart of the Gers midfield, makes this deal likely a non-starter.

The club have made it clear that the transfer priorities lie in attack, with Gerrard seeking a creative number 10 and a striker when the window opens.

Rangers fans have given any potential move for Adam the thumbs down, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on his comments…
